Belina Anderson, Esq. Managing Attorney, New York City Office 212-588-8868 banderson@gilbertilaw.com With substantial experience in both the private and public sectors, Ms. Anderson focuses her practice on civil litigation, representing commercial clients. She also has extensive experience in administrative law and appellate advocacy. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Anderson worked for the New York City Law Department, World Trade Center Unit, which handles the complex litigation arising from the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. As Assistant Chief of Environmental Claims, she was responsible for assessing the City’s potential liability under environmental statutes and from future toxic tort claims. Ms. Anderson also worked for New York City as Special Counsel to the Business Integrity Commission, which regulates the solid waste industry. Ms. Anderson also has substantial experience in appellate practice. As an Assistant New York State Attorney General, Ms. Anderson handled close to fifty appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and New York State’s appellate courts. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk to the New York State Court of Appeals. Ms. Anderson has practiced in the private sector as well, concentrating on commercial litigation. Ms. Anderson also holds a Master of Laws degree in International & Comparative Law and has published an article in the field of international environmental law.
