Gregory D. Faucher, Esq. gfaucher@gilbertilaw.com The siting, acquisition and permitting of large and controversial commercial real estate development projects represent a large part of Mr. Faucher's practice, which is based in Albany and extends throughout Upstate New York. Mr. Faucher has successfully represented clients in obtaining zoning and other permits needed for projects totaling more than 10 million square feet of retail, commercial and industrial space, representing a value estimated to be in excess of $2 billion. Component practice areas include site selection, contract, negotiation, condemnation, zoning approvals, SEQR compliance, regulatory permitting, brownfield redevelopment, and litigation that results in connection with any or all of the above. A key component of Mr. Faucher's practice is assisting and counseling clients on public-private partnerships and possible availability of incentives to maximize economic development potential of projects. Representative projects include Carousel Center, DestiNY USA, Crossgates Commons, Albany SOMA Project at Quackenbush Square, New York International Plaza (Stewart Army Base). Mr. Faucher earned his B.A., cum laude, at St. Lawrence University and his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University. He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida.
