John F. Klucsik, Esq. Contract Partner 315-442-0173 jklucsik@gilbertilaw.com Industrial and commercial development, including electric generation and transmission, are the focus of Mr. Klucsik's practice. He provides advice on right-to-build and environmental impact review issues, air emissions regulations, water quality control and compliance planning. His clients have included nanotechnology and biotechnology firms, independent power producers, transmission line developers, cement manufacturers, mining companies, retail and mixed use developers. He has provided advice on right-to-build and permitting issues for a $3.2 billion semiconductor fabrication plant; helped permit what was then the second largest, independently owned cogeneration plant in North America; and was counsel on the Public Service Commission application for the world's longest underground direct current electric transmission line. Mr. Klucsik has advised clients on major water supply source and transmission projects and was recognized for work associated with the decontamination and decommissioning of the nation's only commercial plutonium reprocessing plant. He has designed environmental compliance and management systems for more than 30 industrial facilities. Mr. Klucsik combines his enthusiasm for work with charity groups, vintage sports car restoration and photography by serving as a classic car photographer for the Burn Prevention Foundation at its annual Concours d'Elegance of the Eastern United States auto show. He also serves as a volunteer photographer for the Syracuse Coaches vs. Cancer Basketball fundraising gala and other American Cancer Society events.
