Kevin J. Brown, Esq. Partner 315-442-0179 kbrown@gilbertilaw.com Mr. Brown's practice focuses primarily on administrative, civil and criminal environmental litigation matters, complex site remediation and development projects, and environmental compliance counseling and related business planning advice. Regularly representing clients in the mining and construction materials industries, Mr. Brown develops strategies for siting and permitting mining operations and industrial facilities throughout New York State, advising on compliance with federal, state and local requirements for environmental impact analysis, zoning and land use approvals. Mr. Brown has extensive experience with the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), including preparation of environmental impact statements, participation in SEQRA hearings, and litigation relating to compliance with the procedural and substantive requirements of SEQRA. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brown supervised research on coastal resources management and waterfront development for the New York Department of State Coastal Zone Management Program and Office of General Services, the Long Island Regional Planning Board and the St. Lawrence Eastern Lake Ontario Commission.
