Mr. Sharlow focuses his practice on compliance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act, including the preparation and analysis of environmental assessment forms, environmental impact statements, positive and negative declarations and findings statements. He has performed substantial work on cases involving wetlands jurisdiction. Mr. Sharlow also represents clients in all matters of compliance with New York State mining laws. He is skilled in litigation, zoning, permitting, local land use legislation, occupational safety and health administration, and mine safety and health administration compliance.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Sharlow used his science background working as a medical technologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His M.B.A. from Cleveland State University and business background assist him in advising clients on a variety of issues.

Outside of work, Mr. Sharlow enjoys carpentry and wood-working. In his spare time, Mr. Sharlow renovates his 19th century barn that houses his workshop.
