 Commodity Transmission Gilberti Stinziano Heintz & Smith, P.C. has appeared on behalf of clients in Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), Major Electric Generation Facility Siting Board and judicial proceedings involving well over 4,500 megawatts of generating capacity. Our experience in transmission includes obtaining Public Service Commission (PSC) approval to build and operate two 130-mile long direct current electric transmission lines through 53 separate municipalities. Each line has a capacity of 1,000 MW and requires electrical converter facilities covering nearly 10 acres at each end of the two lines. The project is reported to be the longest direct current transmission line in the world. |
